Matthew Horne, Fidelity’s digital asset strategy lead, said at Longitude Singapore that the line between traditional finance and onchain finance may vanish entirely. Tokenization of real-world assets climbed 41% over 30 days, with holders reaching 493,000. More than $1.2 billion flowed onto onchain platforms during the same period, and stablecoins combined with tokenized assets now account for over $323 billion. Horne highlighted that US asset managers are especially motivated by tokenization, driven by better investor access and new market opportunities. Fidelity has already launched onchain products, including tokenized money-market funds and US Treasurys.
