FC Barcelona has initiated exploratory talks with Real Betis to sign Brazilian center-back Natan, seeking to replace Ronald Araújo who departed on loan to Liverpool. Betis is asking between €30 million and €45 million for the 25-year-old defender, compared to an estimated market value of approximately €25 million according to Transfermarkt. The Seville-based club paid only €9 million to exercise a buy option from Napoli in June 2025, meaning a sale at the lower end of that range would represent more than a threefold return on investment in just over a year. Standing at 1.88 meters and left-footed, Natan featured in 45 matches last season and reportedly told intermediaries he would only consider leaving Betis for Barcelona. Negotiations remain at the exploratory stage and no formal offer has been made public yet.
