Factory raises $200M at $5B valuation, tripling in five months

Factory, a San Francisco-based startup specializing in autonomous AI agents for software engineering, has closed a $200 million funding round valuing the company at $5 billion. This represents more than triple the $1.5 billion valuation it held just five months earlier, in April 2026. Founded in 2023, the company saw its valuation surge from $150 million at its Series C to $5 billion in just a few months. Factory counts Nvidia, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, and Ernst & Young among its customers, and plans international expansion with offices in London and Tokyo.
