Etherscan launched its « Build with AI » suite in late August 2026, giving AI agents and coding assistants like Claude and ChatGPT direct access to on-chain data across more than 60 EVM-compatible chains. The core tool is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server accessible at mcp.etherscan.io/mcp, offering around 20 functions covering essential blockchain operations: balance queries, transaction lookups, token transfer histories, contract details, and gas prices. The platform notably includes « Etherscan Flow » for tracing fund movements between addresses, along with transaction debugging tools, all in read-only mode. This infrastructure aims to combat the problem of data hallucination in AI models by grounding agents in verified blockchain data.
