Analysts at Ark Invest and Aave warn that Ethereum risks being left behind and call for a clear vision of L1’s role versus L2s. Marius Smith, co-founder of Ethereum Institutional, downplays these concerns by noting that Ethereum leads in regulated tokenized asset supply, arguing the focus should be on winning issuers rather than chasing subsidized volumes. Tech giants such as Google, traditional brokers, and banks also plan to launch their own blockchains to issue these products.
