Ethereum : pourquoi cette proposition veut réduire les récompenses des validateurs ?

A new proposal (EIP-8361) filed by Ethereum developers, including Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake, aims to progressively reduce validator rewards to limit staking concentration on Ethereum and reduce inflation on the ETH cryptocurrency. This proposal plans to reduce an increasing share of rewards as the staking ratio grows, until consensus emission rewards are completely cancelled if staking exceeds the 50 % threshold. According to projections based on conservative assumptions, more than 70 million ETH will be staked by January 1, 2028, representing over 55 % of the total supply. This initiative aims to strengthen maximum neutrality and minimal dilution of Ether, but divides the community, with some estimating that it could eliminate solo stakers from the equation.
