Ethereum Foundation highlights wallet protocols for enhanced privacy

Share

The Ethereum Foundation introduced Kohaku, an open-source software development kit and reference wallet designed to make private transactions accessible to ordinary users. Kohaku offers private sends and receives, stealth addresses, isolated accounts for each decentralized application, private state reads and integrations with Railgun, Privacy Pools and Tornado Cash. Some components, including shielded balances and automatic stealth addresses, remain under development. A live demonstration is scheduled for November 3, 2026, at Devcon, with Vitalik Buterin, Nicolas Consigny and Ambire Wallet, while the privacy roadmap also includes EIP-8141 and the Hegotá upgrade.
