Mistral AI has completed a record fundraising of 3 billion euros, the largest ever by a European private technology company, bringing its valuation to approximately 21 billion euros. This operation, led notably by Samsung Electronics, PSG Equity and Scaleup Europe fund, adds to the 1.7 billion euros raised in September 2025 and the 830 million dollars in debt obtained in March 2026, totaling nearly 5 billion euros in funding in less than a year. The French company plans to use these funds to develop its own data center, Mistral Compute, in Bruyères-le-Châtel in Essonne, set to host 13,800 Nvidia GB300 accelerators based on the Grace Blackwell architecture. Founded in Paris just over three years ago by former researchers from Google DeepMind and Meta, Mistral AI is also counting on its open-weight models to attract sectors handling sensitive information, such as the French Ministry of Armed Forces and major industrial groups.
