DefiLlama data from October 3, 2026 shows that 399 out of 558 tracked blockchains, or 71%, generated zero fees over a 24-hour period. A total of 443 out of 558 chains collected less than 10 dollars in fees during the same window. Only seven blockchains cleared 100,000 dollars in daily fees, with Solana leading at 1.09 million dollars, followed by Tron at 922,900 dollars and BSC at 793,900 dollars. This concentration illustrates the persistent challenge of real-world adoption for the majority of blockchain networks.
