Bitcoin briefly fell below $77,000, reaching about $76,000 before rebounding to $78,450, while BNB lost more than 8% and ether dropped below $2,215. More than $1.5 billion in leveraged positions were liquidated over 24 hours, including $468 million in bitcoin and $358 million in ether, with longs accounting for nearly all losses. About 135,000 bitcoin options with a notional value of $10.92 billion expire at 9 a.m. on Friday, with max pain at $78,000, while $776 million in ether options also expire at the same time. The Binance hack, which reportedly resulted in $6.3 billion being stolen, remains a major concern: roughly $3 billion in funds remain frozen with Tether, Circle, and Ripple. US spot bitcoin funds recorded $17 million in net inflows, but ether funds saw $105 million in outflows for a fourth consecutive day.
