Young Liu, Foxconn chairman, said the group’s share of the global AI server market could rise from about 40% today to 45% next year and reach 50% within a few years. This growth has accompanied a strong expansion of its cloud and networking division, which generated 51% of Foxconn’s revenue in the second quarter of 2026, up from 41% a year earlier. A record net profit of 60 billion Taiwan dollars, or about $1.86 billion, confirms the iPhone manufacturer’s transformation into a major AI infrastructure player. Foxconn expects AI server rack shipments to more than double in 2026, plans to raise output at its Houston facility to 2,000 racks per week and announced a $136 million investment in Mexico to expand production capacity.
