A hacker exploited a vulnerability in Cysic’s bridge to mint 10 million CYS tokens on BNB Smart Chain. After the bridge was suspended and 2.8 million tokens were frozen at the fraudulent address, the Cysic Foundation offered a 10% bounty in exchange for the return of 275.872 ETH, worth about $665,000. The suspected address instead transferred 300 ETH and 30.4 BNB, totaling about $744,000, to Tornado Cash. The foundation said its mainnet and existing assets in user wallets were unaffected.
