Anthropic launched OSS Scanner on Thursday, an opt-in vulnerability detection service leveraging its most powerful AI models including Claude Mythos. Ethereum client developer Nethermind and Bitcoin and Lightning wallet ZEUS were among the first to submit enrollment applications on Friday. Other applicants include decentralized cloud computing platform VirtEngine alongside development tools and machine-learning infrastructure projects. Anthropic warned that AI could advantage attackers in the near term, as exploitation becomes cheaper while verifying and fixing vulnerabilities remains slow and dependent on humans.
