The Greek Ministry of Economy and Finance proposes a 10 % tax on capital gains realized by individuals from the sale of crypto assets. This rate, lower than the 15 % mentioned in June, includes an exemption for annual net gains below or equal to 500 euros, beyond which the entire gain becomes taxable. Income from staking, cryptocurrency lending and liquidity provision would be treated as interest at the same 10 % rate. The bill, currently under public consultation, is expected to be presented to Parliament in November.
