Crypto ‘Godfather’ Gets 78 Months For $37M Meta Fraud Scheme

Adam Iza, who called himself « The Godfather », has been sentenced to 78 months in federal prison for stealing more than $37 million from Meta Platforms. He pleaded guilty to fraudulently gaining access to Meta business manager accounts and credit lines to divert tens of millions of dollars. The court ordered him to pay more than $23.4 million in restitution. Adam Iza was convicted of conspiracy against rights, wire fraud and tax evasion. The case revealed he recruited off-duty sheriff’s deputies to intimidate rivals, going beyond typical crypto fraud cases.
