Brian Armstrong, Frederick Ehrsam and Emilie Choi plan to sell up to 13.6 million Coinbase shares by the end of 2027, worth nearly $2 billion at the stock’s Friday, October 30, 2026 price. The sales, representing about 6% of listed Class A shares, follow predetermined trading plans. In the third quarter of 2026, Coinbase reported net income of $718.7 million despite a 35% decline in revenue, mainly driven by a $715 million gain on crypto assets held as investments. Transaction revenue fell 44% and retail trading volume dropped 59%, while operating income plunged to $61.7 million. Coinbase still has a $1.96 billion share repurchase authorization, but buybacks slowed sharply, with only 37,995 shares purchased for $5.3 million in the third quarter.
