RUNE up 15% after hackers use THORChain to launder stolen funds — What next?

Share

RUNE surged more than 15% in 24 hours as the total crypto market capitalization fell by $160 billion following the Binance hack, which cost the exchange approximately $6.30 billion. Stolen funds moving through THORChain drove strong network activity, with $62.08 million in swaps on the mainnet and $94 million processed through its bridges. Weekly fees reached a high of $11,000, while RUNE’s daily trading volume increased by more than 393%. The token rallied from $0.58 to $0.723 but failed to hold above the $0.70 resistance level. The four-hour chart remains bearish unless $0.70 becomes support, in which case RUNE could continue to oscillate between $0.60 and $0.70 or decline further.
