On September 15, the Astana International Financial Center Court granted the Astana Financial Services Authority relief to restrict the activities of six unlicensed platforms: BingX, Bitcoin.com, HTX, BitMart, Coinbase and WEEX. The order bars the platforms from providing, offering or advertising digital asset services within the financial center without a licence and from distributing their mobile applications, with geographic restrictions involving Google Play and the App Store. LBank was initially included but was removed from the order on September 18 after independently blocking access to its services in Kazakhstan. Separately, nine platforms voluntarily restricted access to their applications, leading the authority to withdraw its claims, while seven others said they intended to seek a licence. Kazakhstan has established a digital asset regulatory framework and approved a 65-measure plan for 2026, including up to $60 million in tokenized Alatau projects, while Tether is exploring a stablecoin tied to the Kazakh tenge with no launch date announced.
