Cofund, a company focused on Bitcoin multisig treasury applications, published « The Covenants Use-Case Atlas », an interactive map cataloguing over 24 distinct Bitcoin covenant use cases. The project covers applications ranging from foundational vault designs to more exotic implementations like Ark non-interactive issuance and payment pools. Main proposals referenced include CTV (CheckTemplateVerify/BIP 119), OP_CAT and CSFS, with status indicators distinguishing implementations with working code from still theoretical concepts. Bitcoin has not yet activated any covenant on its mainnet since the first ideas around 2013, the last major upgrade being Taproot in November 2021. Cofund CEO Jesus Najera spearheaded the initiative, positioning it as an educational resource and conversation starter for the Bitcoin development community.
