Coatue Management, Philippe Laffont’s hedge fund, saw its public equity portfolio value surge to $48.6 billion in Q2 2026, up from roughly $29 billion one quarter earlier. The fund has concentrated nearly 23% of its investments in AI-related semiconductor stocks, notably Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, Lam Research, and Applied Materials. Key strategic holdings also include Micron Technology and ASML, which holds a near-monopoly on extreme ultraviolet lithography machines. Coatue manages approximately $90 billion in total assets and maintains around 66 positions focused on the AI semiconductor supply chain. Many of these holdings delivered year-to-date gains exceeding 50% to 100% through mid-2026.
