German authorities discovered two operational handguns hidden in a forest in Brandenburg, surrounding Berlin. This cache, described by German intelligence as a « dead letterbox, » was established by Russian operatives and intended for « kinetic operations » — meaning attacks or assassinations. A man linked to the cache was arrested in Romania as the investigation expanded beyond German borders, with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office leading the case.
