Cloudflare launched Cloudflare Wallets, a programmable wallet for artificial intelligence agents designed to simplify payments for application programming interfaces and digital content through stablecoin micropayments. The US cloud infrastructure company plans to integrate these wallets with its Monetization Gateway, which uses Coinbase’s x402 protocol to enable stablecoin micropayments. Users can already claim a Cloudflare Wallet handle, while payment features will roll out at a later date. Cloudflare stated that these stablecoin micropayments will allow agents to test APIs without creating an account, reducing friction in the process.
