Circle has signed a partnership with Chelsea to feature USDC on the front of shirts for men’s, women’s, and academy teams starting from the 2026/27 season. The goal is to make USDC the recognizable digital dollar by exposing it to millions of football fans. In the second quarter, Circle reported 701 million dollars in total revenue, with 668 million coming from interest on USDC reserves, roughly 95% of the total, while 73.3 billion dollars of USDC was in circulation. The timing is strategic as the Premier League agreed to remove gambling sponsors from matchday shirts beginning in 2026/27, freeing up prime advertising space. The objective is not to convert fans into immediate customers, but simply to make the USDC name familiar so it is recognized as a natural option when they need a digital dollar.
