Shayne Coplan, CEO of Polymarket, states that informed traders are shifting toward prediction markets for more predictable odds instead of chasing tokens with exponential gains. Polymarket has recorded $1.21 billion in prediction volume over the past seven days, ranking as the second-largest prediction market behind Kalshi, which showed $2.3 billion. This growth is attracting increasing regulatory scrutiny in the US, with JPMorgan Chase ending its banking relationship with Polymarket in August over regulatory concerns. More than a dozen US states have filed lawsuits against Polymarket and/or Kalshi regarding sports event contracts.
