Cardano has scored a major win in Japan with the listing of its native token ADA and privacy token NIGHT on S.BLOX, a cryptocurrency exchange owned by Sony Group Corporation. The platform, acquired in August 2023 by Sony On-Chain Technologies, began trading ADA starting August 24 and offers users up to 10,000 yen worth of ADA to celebrate the listing. NIGHT becomes the first privacy token listed in Japan, with the platform offering up to 14,000 yen worth of NIGHT as part of a promotional campaign. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson highlighted that the approval process with Japan’s Financial Services Agency is extremely rigorous, making this listing even more significant. Midnight, Cardano’s privacy-focused sidechain, went live in March 2026, with the NIGHT token launching in December 2025.
