Cardano’s Dijkstra testnet became publicly available on October 21, according to Intersect’s October 24 update. It currently runs Conway protocol version 11 with node 11.1.3, while version 12 will require a node prerelease and a testnet governance action. Stake pool operators can obtain configuration files, connect to the test network and use a faucet for test assets, which have no relationship to the value of mainnet ADA. This phase allows developers, wallets, indexers, exchanges and applications to verify compatibility before the new protocol rules are activated, without announcing a mainnet activation date or guaranteeing a particular ADA price response.
