Cardano’s Constitutional Committee renewal cleared both voting thresholds in a pre-boundary snapshot on September 1. DRep support reached 69.36%, above the 67% threshold, while SPO support stood at just 51.18%, only 0.18 percentage points above the 51% requirement. Without renewal, the committee would have dropped to three members, below the five-member minimum required for key governance actions. The four expiring seats set a September 6 deadline for ratification. Participation proved decisive: non-voting ADA weighted against approval in the effective calculation, making abstention an effective veto.
