Bitcoin, XRP and Shiba Inu fell sharply after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act, dealing a major blow to the cryptocurrency industry. The crucial procedural vote failed 49-50 on Tuesday, well short of the 60 votes needed to invoke cloture. Bitcoin is trading around $76,000, down 3.7% over 24 hours, XRP at about $1.30 (-7%) and Shiba Inu at about $0.00000513 (-3.7%). Among the Democrats who voted no were Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Warner, Cory Booker and Raphael Warnock, while three Republicans also voted no: Susan Collins, Josh Hawley and Jerry Moran.
