Broadcom CEO Hock Tan confirmed on September 14 during CNBC’s Mad Money that the company’s AI revenue targets remain firmly intact at $115 billion for fiscal 2027 and $230 billion for fiscal 2028. This declaration followed a 4.8% drop in Broadcom shares amid a broader AI infrastructure selloff triggered by an open letter from Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei calling for a more measured approach to AI development. Broadcom also raised its full-year fiscal 2026 AI semiconductor guidance to $58 billion, up from a prior target of $56 billion, after reporting $16.7 billion in Q3 AI semiconductor revenue with 221% year-over-year growth. Tan highlighted inference demand as a critical growth driver, with Anthropic projected to become Broadcom’s largest custom-chip customer by fiscal 2027.
