BNB Chain, the blockchain network associated with Binance, has officially joined Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program. The initiative now counts over 100 partners working to integrate digital assets into the global payments infrastructure that Mastercard already dominates. The selected blockchains, including Solana, Polygon, Tron, and now BNB Chain, are chosen for their high transaction throughput and low fees. Mastercard also acquired stablecoin infrastructure firm BVNK for up to 1.8 billion dollars. BNB Chain’s inclusion reinforces the thesis that high-throughput networks are the ones that matter for blockchain-based payments.
