Bitwise reiterated its prediction that Bitcoin could reach $1.3 million by 2035, driven by a 1% allocation from major institutional investors, estimated between $100,000 and $200,000 billion in assets under management. The firm’s chief investment officer, Matt Hougan, is betting on spot ETFs as access facilitators and on capturing a quarter of the store of value market, currently dominated by gold and real estate. In August 2025, Bitwise had already outlined this same bullish scenario, with a range between nearly $3 million in an optimistic case and under $90,000 in a pessimistic case. A 1% inflow from institutional assets would represent approximately $1 trillion in capital flows, or nearly half of Bitcoin’s current market capitalization, an amount that, even spread over ten years, would far exceed the inflows recorded by ETFs since their launch in the United States.
