Bitcoin held above $80,000 on October 16, trading in a range of roughly $81,800 to $82,060. US consumer prices for September came in at 3.7% year-on-year, above the 3.6% consensus forecast. Bitcoin weathered multiple shocks, including a 7.5% drop in South Korea’s KOSPI index and a 9% to 11% decline in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix shares.
