Bitcoin ETFs Erase $5.8B 2026 Deficit As Annual Flows Turn Positive

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have erased a deficit that reached approximately $5.8 billion in July to now show around $800 million in net inflows for the full year 2026, representing a swing of more than $6 billion from the low point. This recovery was driven by six consecutive days of net inflows totaling roughly $2.84 billion, including $190.7 million on September 24 alone, led by BlackRock’s IBIT. However, this performance remains modest compared to the $35.2 billion attracted in 2024 and the $21.4 billion in 2025. Bitcoin’s recovery from below $58,000 in June to the mid-$80,000 area has supported demand by improving the positions of existing fund holders and making additional allocations easier to justify.
