He proposed a moratorium on advanced AI development and a permanent ban on superintelligence. Bannon called AI « the defining issue of our time » and attacked « tech oligarchs » whose influence over AI policy has outpaced any public accountability. According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, 77% of surveyed individuals expressed concern about increased electricity costs from AI data centers.
