Baidu introduced Apollo World on November 3, 2026, at its AI Day in Shenzhen. This multimodal, agent-driven model is designed to simulate physical environments and support decision-making and interactions among traffic participants. It is already integrated into Apollo Go, Baidu’s robotaxi service, which uses more than 350 million kilometers of real-world driving data to generate virtual scenarios. Baidu also proposed a “2+3” evaluation standard for assessing the quality of world models, with the potential to shape future industry development. Apollo World could later be extended to robotics and other physical AI applications, helping Baidu scale its autonomous-driving deployments.
