Amazon Web Services is reportedly planning a new 15% price increase on reserved GPU capacity starting October 7, 2026, according to a post on X. This would be the fourth price hike in 2026, following increases in January and July. The H200-based p5e.48xlarge instance rose from about $34.61 per hour to roughly $39 after July, reaching $49.74 in the US West region. AWS has framed these changes as a response to supply and demand dynamics. Companies relying on reserved GPU blocks for AI training and inference will face mounting costs as each new increase compounds on an already higher base.
