Aviva Investors has launched a tokenized share class of its Sterling Liquidity Fund on XRP Ledger, following the introduction of a tokenized class for its USD Liquidity Fund in July. The Sterling fund, the firm’s largest, manages approximately £22 billion in assets. The two tokenized funds have attracted more than £86 million in investments, including a £50 million contribution from Aviva to the new sterling-denominated offering. The Ireland-domiciled UCITS fund uses a digital twin structure to represent its holdings on the blockchain without replacing its existing regulatory framework. The Bank of New York Mellon remains the custodian of the fund’s assets, while Komainu and Licuido provide custody services and digital infrastructure.
