Atletico Madrid president Miguel Ángel Gil Marín has offered to reduce striker Julián Álvarez’s 500 million euro release clause, conditional on him scoring at least 20 goals during the 2026-2027 season. The Madrid club rejected summer offers of approximately 100 million euros from Barcelona and 150 million euros from Real Madrid without making any counter-proposals. The Argentine also registered 9 assists during the 2025-2026 season.
