Apple on Tuesday announced HomeView, a new smart home hub with a 7-inch screen priced at $299 and shipping on Nov. 13. The device can be mounted on a wall or placed on a table, recognizes users by their face to display personalized information, and supports up to six users. HomeView features Siri AI, enables FaceTime calls, and can serve as a smart home dashboard to control security cameras, thermostats, or connected locks. Apple also unveiled the new Apple TV 4K at $299, a price jump from the previous $199, and the HomePod Mini at $149. These launches come under new CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook in September, signaling Apple’s increased focus on home products.
