Anthropic is seeking Moderate FedRAMP authorization for Claude Enterprise through the 20x program, which automates continuous collection of security evidence using 61 key indicators. This level, designated Class C under 20x, covers systems where a breach could cause serious adverse effects. As of October 2026, Claude Enterprise does not yet have FedRAMP authorization, although Anthropic holds third-party attestations for the product based on NIST SP 800-171 covering certain requirements for controlled unclassified information. Claude for Government, however, has held High FedRAMP authorization since September 30, 2026, in a dedicated environment. The targeted approval would extend Claude Enterprise’s compliance coverage to regulated businesses using authorized cloud platforms, but Anthropic has disclosed no completion date.
