Anthropic, the American startup behind the AI assistant Claude, has filed for an IPO and could target a valuation exceeding $2 trillion, surpassing Meta’s current market capitalization. The company plans to raise up to $100 billion during its IPO, which would be the largest in history. In 2025, Anthropic generated $4.59 billion in revenue, up 1,088% year-over-year, but posted an operating loss of $8.06 billion, with infrastructure spending reaching $7.33 billion. The company raised $65 billion in its last private funding round in May, based on a $965 billion valuation, and holds $20.28 billion in cash. The listing is expected to occur after the U.S. midterm elections in November.
