The General Services Administration announced on October 27, 2026, that it had expanded its OneGov agreement with Anthropic, granting a 40% discount on token usage for all Claude models. Consumption-based pricing applies to federal, state, local, and tribal agencies, with no minimum order and access to government environments that meet FedRAMP requirements. The model replaces Anthropic’s nominal $1-per-user or agency offer, which was extended through October 31, 2026. Anthropic’s agreement is less favorable than OpenAI’s 50% discount through December 2028, but the inclusion of state, local, and tribal governments broadens its potential market. The OneGov program has reportedly saved the federal government more than $1.8 billion, including approximately $1.6 billion tied to AI-related contracts.
