Animoca Announces ADGM Fund-Management Permission for Institutional Expansion

Share

Animoca Brands announced on November 2 that Animoca Asset Management (AD) Limited had received Financial Services Permission from ADGM’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority to manage collective investment funds in or from Abu Dhabi’s financial centre. The authorization, registered as permission 250097, takes effect on October 13, 2026, and excludes retail clients as well as the holding or control of client assets. This narrower permission gives Animoca a regulated structure through which to pursue institutional investors, but it does not guarantee investor demand, capital commitments or the launch of specific funds. Expected disclosures include fund objectives, eligible investors, custody arrangements, fees and redemption terms. Animoca’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai permissions cover different entities and regulators and do not amount to a blanket licence for all of the group’s activities.
