An Amazon cargo plane barreled off the runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday around 2 p.m. after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The aircraft struck multiple vehicles and burst into flames, creating thick black smoke visible in the sky. All runways and taxiways were closed and a ground stop was ordered at one of the nation’s busiest airports. Sixty Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene to extinguish the fire. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating the incident.
