Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal has submitted a 45 million euro bid for Aston Villa striker and England international Ollie Watkins, with the summer transfer window set to close in roughly two weeks. Watkins has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Al Hilal, which is looking to replace Karim Benzema. The bid falls 15 million euros short of the player’s estimated market value of approximately 60 million euros. Aston Villa, who have been vocal about their desire to keep the 30-year-old, hold significant leverage due to his contract running until June 2028 and have shown no indication of willingness to sell. If Al Hilal is serious about completing the transfer, a substantially improved offer will need to arrive quickly to force genuine negotiations at Villa Park.
