Booking Holdings’ third-quarter results exceeded forecasts, supported by resilient travel demand despite geopolitical uncertainty. Room nights grew 7%, gross bookings rose 10% to $54.5 billion and adjusted earnings per share increased 17% to $4.66, while revenue declined 1% to $8.9 billion because of a $900 million reduction tied to the Federal Trade Commission. Users of Priceline’s and Agoda’s AI assistants convert at roughly twice the rate of other users, while Agoda’s AI-assistant users generate booking values about 20% higher. In September, referrals from ChatGPT accounted for less than 1% of Booking.com room nights, while Agoda’s integration with Meta’s Muse AI agent and OpenTable’s integration with OpenAI opened new distribution channels. Booking has about 4.7 million properties across more than 220 countries and territories, enabling it to provide AI platforms with the inventory, payments and customer service required to complete reservations.
