A Russian AI-guided drone killed three Ukrainian civilians, including 19-year-old student Tetiana Bubynets, in a strike on a gas station in Zaporizhzhia in July 2026. Analysis of the drone wreckage revealed an Nvidia chip, possibly a Jetson Orin module, enabling autonomous targeting. This marks the first documented use of autonomous lethal weapons by Russia against Ukraine. Ukraine had previously tested fully autonomous quadcopter drones dubbed Terminator in 2024.
