On August 2, his post gathered 4,475 likes, but the top reply received 11,179: « I’d hate my parents if I found out they did this. »Faced with backlash, Charriere stood his ground, calling the recording a « treasure » and saying the family listened to it on repeat. The episode illustrates a broader debate over parents’ use of AI, with some going so far as to ask ChatGPT to choose their baby’s name, alarming psychologists and authorities.
