Portuguese-British AI drone maker Tekever has reached a $6.4 billion valuation after raising $580 million in a funding round. The company was selected by the UK Ministry of Defence to provide surveillance technology worth up to £400 million over 10 years. Its drones have logged over 50,000 operational flight hours in Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. The funding will support international expansion, industrial scaling, and strategic acquisitions. The raise comes as European defense tech startups attract record capital amid rapid regional rearmament, with Helsing raising $1.8 billion and Quantum Systems raising 1 billion euros in July.
