On November 5, 2026, OFAC sanctioned four people and 41 entities linked to Prince Group, a transnational criminal organization already designated by the US Treasury. According to Treasury, offshore structures, business services and arrangements concealing beneficial ownership allowed the group to sustain its operations after earlier sanctions. The network is linked to digital asset investment scams, romance scams and other online fraud, with many operations relying on trafficked and coerced workers in Southeast Asian compounds. The new action also targets entities at least 50% owned, directly or indirectly, by blocked persons, as well as companies involved in transferring a Tokyo mansion to the wife of a Prince Group executive. US-based assets and interests in property are blocked and must be reported to OFAC, while transactions involving them are generally prohibited for US persons unless licensed or exempt.
